The Black Company sends John Smith Jr to defend the railroads at Philippi, He fend offs the attack but three hostiles escape from him and hide within the nearby forest. If you chose to play as the Yankees you will fight in the Battle of Fort Sumter where with your near escape after the take-over you are placed in a private company that only the president and other highest ranking officials know about with the task stealthily and brutally enhancing their playing fields and in turn win themselves the war. 19 years later at the age of 37 he leaves his family in the southern part of Maryland where he is enlisted into either the Union or the Confederacy.
